A Profile of Angel Bolton
Embracing Adventure, Teamwork, and Growth

Meet Angel Bolton, a seasoned professional whose career is a tapestry of adventure, excitement, and dedication to enhancing team efficiency. Over the past two decades, Angel has traversed more than 36 countries, bringing her expertise in law enforcement, operations, safety, security, and facility management to diverse environments. Her roles have spanned from Director of Operations and Facilities Manager to Training Facilitator and Detective, showcasing her versatility and commitment to making a difference.

One of Angel's most cherished roles was as a training assistant at Disneyworld, where she worked part-time for over 12 years. "That was truly the 'fun job!' I needed a balance for my very serious job in law enforcement," she recalls. Angel's adventure at Disneyworld saw her pushing people off water slides, working in retail services at the Christmas store, Winnie the Pooh, and the Art of Disney. Her favorite experience was at the Disney Institute, where she engaged in global leadership training. This role allowed her to blend her love for learning and teaching with the magic of Disney, creating unforgettable experiences.

Throughout her career, Angel has consistently focused on building relationships, transferring skills, and seeking opportunities to improve operations. Her work has taken her to diverse locations, including Honduras, the Marshall Islands, and Washington, DC. Whether it's building a field hospital in a tent or working long hours alongside her team, Angel thrives in challenging environments.

"I firmly believe that when faced with limited budgets, limited resources, and tight deadlines, teams grow and figure things out pretty quickly, creating unity and creativity," she said. As a leader, her goal is to make things better, more effective, and safer for everyone involved.

Angel's experience as a police officer and first responder has instilled in her the importance of staying calm under pressure. "Master the basics first, like knowing the shut-off locations," she advised, emphasizing the value of preparedness and clear communication in facility management.

Even in her personal life, Angel's quest for adventure shines through. Her vacations often include action-packed activities, like the famous 500-mile hike across Spain, known as the Camino de Santiago. Yet, she always finds time to connect with mentors who have played significant roles in her life, reflecting her commitment to continuous growth and learning.

Despite her impressive achievements and seemingly celestial journey, Angel's name has a more down-to-earth origin. Her mom named her after a soap opera star, adding a touch of everyday charm to her extraordinary career.

With a proven ability to mobilize management, develop and deliver diverse global solutions, and collaborate with all levels of management, military command operations, and government representatives, Angel Bolton is a true leader and innovator. Her work in operations performance, training and development, business development, recruiting and staffing solutions, and mobilization/transition planning has made a lasting impact in various sectors.

Angel Bolton's story is one of resilience, curiosity, and a relentless pursuit of excellence. She continues to inspire others with her adventurous spirit and unwavering dedication to making the world a better place, one project at a time.

Navigating a male-dominated industry has been one of the challenges Angel has faced. "Unfortunately, there are several biases in the workplace," she acknowledges. "Being a female in a male-dominated industry is just one of them. I would say—do the best you can with what you have been given. And that applies to your gender, your age, your gender identity, and your sexual preference." Her resilience and determination have been key to her success, as she continues to break down barriers and pave the way for others.

Looking ahead, Angel is optimistic about the future of the facilities industry. She believes that technological advancements will make systems and equipment more efficient, providing better analytics to help leaders make informed financial decisions. "The facilities industry will be better in the next 5-10 years," she predicts, envisioning a future where technology enhances operations and creates value for all stakeholders.

Angel's advice for the next generation of facilities team members is simple yet profound: "Be a sponge! It doesn't matter your age—someone has a golden nugget of knowledge to give to you. Watch out for it and grab it when it comes—add it to your toolbox." This wisdom reflects her belief in continuous learning and growth, a principle that has guided her throughout her career.
